We are a busy and creative sweet bakery specialising in beautifully crafted buttercream cakes for all occasions, brookies, dessert pots, ice cream and lots more. Position 1:

Job Title: Cake Maker (18+)

Location: Wilmslow Bakery 

Hours: Full Time / Monday - Friday / 8am - 4pm

Salary: from £12.30 hourly - depending on ability

Start Date: Immediate Start 

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and reliable Cake Maker who is confident in baking, stacking, and decorating cakes using buttercream. You will be responsible for executing cake orders from start to finish, ensuring consistency, quality, and creativity in every cake. 

We’re open to candidates who have basic cake-making skills and are eager to learn and grow within the bakery, with training and support provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake sponge cakes to our recipes and standards
  • Make cake batters and buttercream from scratch
  • Stack and fill cakes with precision and consistency
  • Decorate cakes using buttercream – smoothing, piping, and finishing to high visual standards
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, following all food safety guidelines
  • Ensure all cakes meet our quality and design expectations
  • Assist with prepping materials and ingredients as needed
  • Collaborate with the team to manage production flow and timelines

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in baking and decorating cakes, specifically with buttercream
  • Confident working in a fast-paced, production kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a creative eye for design
  • Good time management and ability to work to deadlines
  • Able to follow recipes and design briefs accurately
  • Positive attitude, reliable, and a team player

 

Position 2:

Job Title: Bakery Assistant (18+)

Location: Wilmslow Bakery 

Hours: Full Time / Monday - Friday / 8am - 4pm

Salary: from £12.21 hourly

Start Date: Immediate Start 

Job Description:

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Bakery assistant to join our busy, fast-paced sweet bakery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a love of baked goods, great attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a hands-on environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Rolling, filling and baking off brookies / cookies 
  • Making brownie & blondie batter
  • Making cake mix
  • Making donuts and cinnamon rolls
  • General kitchen duties 
  • Stock taking

What we’re looking for:

  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy setting

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Previous bakery or food service experience is an advantage, but not essential – full training will be provided
